Stone County Abuse Prevention - Emergency Shelter, Community Resources, and Public Education
About Us
Stone County Abuse Prevention, Inc. (SCAP), a non-profit organization, was formed in May 1999. A group of concerned citizens saw the need for continued services to the victims of domestic violence and their dependents within Stone County.  The activities of SCAP are a three-pronged effort designed to assist the victims of domestic violence; a 24/7 helpline, a women's shelter, and outreach efforts that include court advocacy, support services for women and community education.

The mission of SCAP is to promote the rights and general well-being of persons and children who have been abused physically, mentally, sexually and emotionally.
